JOB DESCRIPTION :
The Division of Music has an enrollment of approximately 275 music majors. Bachelor's and Master's degrees are offered in music education, music therapy, and performance in addition to a graduate degree in instrumental, piano, or vocal pedagogy; undergraduate degrees include music therapy, music education, musical theatre, performance, and an undergraduate major in music with a liberal arts emphasis.
The successful candidate will :
- Teach flute lessons, studio classes and pedagogy at undergraduate and graduate levels
- Teach music theory courses within the four-semester theory core
- Advise graduate and undergraduate music students
- Assist with and conduct the TWU Flute Choir
- Actively participate in departmental recruiting
- Develop a strong record of scholarship that enhances program standing and visibility of the music division and university
- Maintain active involvement in professional organizations at state and national levels
- Teach other courses in support of the music curriculum as assigned
