What are the responsibilities and job description for the Warehouse / Driver position at Texas Wood Supply?
Drive company vehicles to deliver products to customer location.
Refuel vehicles in accordance with vehicle specifications.
Perform preventative maintenance checks daily, weekly, and monthly.
Following the best practices for safety, both on the road and while loading or unloading a truck
Obtain client or customer signatures when needed and ensure all documentation is properly completed at submission.
Meet delivery deadlines
Maintain safe and clean work environment by keeping shelves, pallet area, and workstations neat.
Organize warehouse and work area for orderliness, including sweep and mopping
Assist shipping and receiving, unloading trucks and checking in merchandise.
Prepare orders by processing requests; pulling materials, packing boxes, placing orders in delivery area.
Sort and place materials or items on racks, shelves or in bins according to organizational standards.
Open bales, crates and other containers.
Maintain inventory controls by collecting stock location orders, printing request, recording amounts of materials or items received or distributed manually. May also assist in counting of physical inventory.
Prepare material for distribution and other entities.
Responsible for off-loading, put-away, picking and staging of equipment and parts while providing professional quality customer service.
Requirements
License or Certification : Valid Driver's License Required
Must be at least 21 years of age for insurability purposes.
