The Texas Workforce Commission (TWC) is looking for a Creative Media Designer II-III who has a passion for graphic design, and values being part of a collaborative team. This position will require 5 days in the office at 101 E. 15th Street, Austin, TX.
TWC is not considering applications from individuals who require sponsorship for an employment visa, including those currently on student or postgraduate visas. You must be a Texas resident to work for the Texas Workforce Commission or willing to relocate to Texas.
Who You Are
The ideal candidate should be comfortable using Adobe Creative Suite and Canva to develop content while working in a fast-paced, deadline driven environment. We are looking for someone who is curious, follows design and marketing trends, has experience with accessibility, print production, and is comfortable working with guidelines, but also confident introducing new ideas.

The Creative Media Designer II-III performs highly complex to advanced (senior-level) graphics and multi-media design and work. Works under limited to minimal supervision, with considerable to extensive latitude for the use of initiative and independent judgment

What You Will Do

You Will Be Trusted To
- Collaborate with a creative team and help coordinate creative design projects.
- Confidently engage with agency staff to ensure a review/approval process against efficient timelines.
- Use Adobe Creative Suite and Canva to design content that promotes TWC’s programs and services.
- Introduce innovative ideas to help the agency engage with and promote services to Texans,
- Serve as a liaison with contractors, printers, and suppliers on media project, and the procurement of materials and supplies.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Creative Media Designer II: Two years of full-time experience involving creative artistic design, electronic graphic arts production, or a related activity.
- Creative Media Designer III: Three years of full-time experience involving creative artistic design, electronic graphic arts production, or a related activity.
- Both Levels: Relevant academic credits may be applied toward experience qualifications for this position.
- Experience with creative media design
- Experience with content coordination or project management
- Experience with proofreading
- Experience with to print production
- Experience with accessibility remediation
