You Will Be Trusted To
- Provide strategic direction and oversee operations across multiple career offices and/or board areas, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
- Collaborate with the ISAM to develop and implement regional strategies that support the overall mission and objectives of the organization.
- Ensure that regional operations are efficient, compliant, and meet the needs of the local workforce development system.
- Recruit, hire, and onboard staff across the region to ensure the right talent is in place to meet operational needs.
- Manage PPRs, including setting job standards, conducting performance reviews, and ensuring that staff across all locations meet or exceed expectations.
- Oversee time and leave management across multiple locations, ensuring accurate tracking and compliance with organizational policies.
- Train, develop, and support management teams in each location, fostering a high-quality work environment and consistent service delivery across regions.
- Build and maintain relationships with regional employers, community leaders, government officials, schools, and other organizations to support workforce development.
- Supervise and coordinate efforts of staff across various locations (virtual, remote, in-person), ensuring collaboration among office managers and stakeholders within the region.
- Manage performance metrics, solve region-wide challenges, and analyze data to make informed decisions that enhance overall operations.
- Effectively utilize technology, including Microsoft Office, employment-related software (e.g., [Insert specific software names]), and virtual communication tools, to streamline operations across multiple locations.
- Communicate clearly and professionally, both in writing and speaking, with a focus on regional strategies and public presentations.
- Identify and train Complaint System Representatives (CSRs) to effectively manage complaints, including receiving complaints, conducting investigations, and resolving issues.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Three years of full-time experience in the development, implementation, or interpretation of policies and procedures in a public or private agency, six months of which must have been in an administrative management or supervisory capacity.
- Relevant academic credits may be applied toward experience qualifications for this position.
- Minimum of 3 years of proven management experience, demonstrating a strong track record of leading and supervising teams effectively.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in project management, including successful planning, implementation, and execution of projects within budget and time constraints.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in budget management, including developing, managing, and monitoring budgets for programs or departments.
- Demonstrated experience in public speaking, presenting to diverse audiences, and effectively communicating complex information.
- Proven experience in strategic planning, specifically within the public sector, including the ability to analyze trends, develop goals, and implement plans to achieve organizational objectives.
- Furthermore, successful candidates will have a strong understanding of the needs and expectations of the customers served by the ISAM department, which include:
- Workforce Boards: Collaborating with and supporting these boards in their efforts to connect job seekers with employment opportunities.
- Career Schools and Colleges: Ensuring the compliance of these institutions with relevant regulations and standards.
- Foreign Labor Employers: Supporting these employers in meeting the requirements for employing foreign workers.
- Employer Services Staff: Providing leadership and guidance to this team as they work to connect employers with qualified job seekers.
