Description
Texell, named one of the BEST Credit Unions to Work for in the Nation by American Banker, is seeking a detail-oriented Consumer Loan Processor to work onsite at our Temple, TX headquarters. You will assist staff and members via phone and multiple digital channels.
As a Consumer Loan Processor, you will:
- Support retail and digital lending by processing all consumer loan applications for closing once underwriting decision has been made, including gathering supporting documentation from the member and preparing documents.
- Analyze and review documentation related to consumer loan applications with an emphasis on accuracy, legitimacy, and completeness of required documentation.
- Communicate effectively over the phone, via email, or in person with members and all parties involved to ensure closing deadlines are met.
- Complete various title work duties such as preparing title packets, duplicate title requests, and release of liens.
- Effectively communicate with staff and internal departments to respond to inquiries, resolve problems, and obtain additional information required to complete the request promptly and accurately.
- Audit booked loans for accuracy and correct any findings.
- Cross train on items such as Loan Adjustments, Total Loss Claims, Dealer Drafting, and Payoff Requests.
- Take the initiative to assist with problem solving, troubleshooting, and providing support in any area of the department as needed.
What we need you to have:
- A high-level attention to detail and excellent organization skills.
- The desire to work in a back-office and behind-the-scenes setting. This is an onsite position.
- Open availability to work during the week and half-day Saturday. Preference is given to applicants with open availability.
- Banking and loan processing experience (highly preferred).
- Worked with their employer(s) for two or more years. Job loyalty is important to us!
- The ability to perform repetitive work - continuously performing the same work according to set procedures and sequence of pace efficiently and accurately each time.
