Description

This position will be assigned to multiple locations based on the Credit Union's needs, and your "home" branch will be at our 31st Street Temple location.  Location assignments may be changed, and sometimes with little notice, depending on the Credit Union’s needs.  It is imperative that the person in this position has the ability to transport themselves to or between different branch locations on short notice.

 

As a Float/Vault Teller, you will:

  • Give our members the WOW! service they deserve.
  • Perform financial transactions with precision such as check cashing, withdrawals, deposits, loan payments, cash advances, and more.
  • Open and close vault daily, control all cash in vault, and distribute daily cash to tellers when applicable. Daily vault balancing, orders cash, cards, checks, and supplies. Assist with completing logs and validating accuracy, assists with 15th audits, dual control and control checks.
  • On an as needed basis, replenish Cash Recycler Machines, Automated Cash Dispenser Machines, Coin Dispenser Machines, Coin Deposit Machines where applicable and ATM’s.
  • Follow all credit union security procedures and maintain member confidentiality.
  • Work with high level attention to detail in a fast-paced environment.
  • Cross sell Credit Union products and services that will benefit our members financially.

 

We're looking for someone who:

  • Has a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Can work our drive-thru hours during the week (as early as 7:30 AM and as late as a little past 6:00 PM if we are still serving members), and every other Sat. from 9:00 AM - 1:00 PM.
  • Is able to stand on their feet for most of their shifts, as well as adhere to a professional business casual dress code.
  • Has previous customer service and cash handling experience. Banking experience is preferred.
  • Maintains a positive and energetic attitude and a passion for helping people. 
  • Places a high level of attention to detail and is committed to member confidentiality.
  • Can work comfortably with Microsoft Office products such as Word and Excel and basic office equipment.
  • Has the ability to have patience, manage emotions, and express empathy. We never know what the person in front of us might be going through. Every member interaction is a chance to provide WOW! service.
