The Retail Manager is responsible for food quality & customer service in an operation that may have branded concepts or other retail offerings. Directs the work of hourly and supervisory food service workers, as well as other managers. The Retail Manager will be tasked with the organization and execution of all catering events, and will oversee innovation and manage multiple events daily and weekly. Position requires successful food service experience, solid organizational skills and excellent leadership and team building skills.
Minimum 2 years' experience in a large Food Service facility coordinating large functions; some management experience preferred. 1 year of work experience in concessions, retail sales, or store operations.
Food Handler's permit required upon hire. Certified Chef preferred. Current valid driver's license.
Ability to read and write English. Ability to communicate with staff, physicians, support agencies, vendors, and others. Ability to remain calm under stress. Ability to coordinate large functions. Good inter-personal skills, with ability to communicate effectively and record documentation legibly. Quantitative/mathematical ability. Understands volumes, weights, and measures. Basic computer knowledge including Microsoft applications required. Must successfully complete the pre-employment assessment.
