Role Overview:
This position is to assist the Supervisor in the profitable execution of building conduit or cable systems for a communication company. Fulfilling this by being in control of daily field operations and utility infrastructure.

What you’ll do as an Operator Telecom Drill Bores
- Ability to perform duties of directional drill operators and laborers
- Ability to communication and direction to field crew members
- Ability to conduct weekly safety and tool box meetings.
- Ability to control and direct crew personnel profitability
- Ability to read and understand blueprint
- Ability to read and understand existing utilities/locates
- Ability to communicate with property owners your intention of work to be performed and resolve any issues regarding discrepancies if possible
- Ability to implement and perform steps to complete jobs in a timely manner
- Ability to plan the use of equipment and materials needed, ensure its operating and loaded properly before leaving yard and on its return
- Ability to operate construction equipment such as a dump truck and skid loader.
- Ability to work in all weather conditions from extreme heat to winter cold
- Ability to lift 75 -85 pounds
- Must be able to set daily production goals
- Conduct daily walk-throughs
What you’ll need
- To be 18 years of age or older
- Authorization to work in the United States for this company
- Minimum one (1) year experience
- Two (2) years Foreman experience and High School diploma or equivalent is preferred
- Previous experience in a similar position and/or specific experience and knowledge regarding the drill process and equipment with a focus on crew leadership is required
- Good verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to give descriptive and respectful direction
- Basic computer skills required, experience with Google apps a plus!
- A valid driver’s license required with a good driving record is required
- Class A CDL is a plus (Higher wage scales apply to CDL holders)
- Some travel may be required
- Experience in Telecommunications is preferred
- Must be able to pass a DOT Physical to obtain a Medical Examiner’s Certificate
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred
