What are the responsibilities and job description for the Shipping Administrative Assistant position at Textiles Coated International (TCI)?
1st Shift (7:00AM-3:30PM) Monday-Friday
Summary - Job Responsibilities – Activities:
- Enters tracking information into company ERP system
- Performs invoicing
- Checks sales orders for accuracy, corrects any errors
- Checks shipments marked in the company ERP system for accuracy before shipments leave the facility, corrects any errors
- Creates all paperwork to be accompanied for export shipments
- Schedules pickups for shipments
- Creates labels for FedEx and UPS
- Communicates with customers regarding the shipment of their orders
- Partners with forwarders for international shipments
- Packs and labels samples
- Responds to customer/forwarder questions
- Responsible for collecting and completing proper documents for claiming in the drawback program
- Seeks out freight quotes upon request
- Works in conjunction with the shipping department to ensure proper communication between sales and shipping is occurring
Education – Experience:
- High school diploma or GED equivalen
