Overview
We are seeking a reliable and dedicated Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting goods and materials safely and efficiently. This role requires a strong commitment to safety, excellent driving skills, and the ability to handle various types of vehicles, including box trucks. Duties
- Safely operate a box truck or other commercial vehicles to deliver goods to designated locations. (Locations include: Dallas area, Oklahoma City, Houston, Austin, San Antonio, Little Rock, Memphis, Tulsa.)
- Load and unload cargo, ensuring proper handling of items to prevent damage.
- Navigate assigned routes efficiently while adhering to traffic laws and regulations.
- Utilize equipment such as pallet jacks and forklifts for loading and unloading tasks as needed.
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including logs of mileage and fuel consumption.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in safe operating condition.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers and team members regarding delivery schedules and any issues that may arise during transport.
Experience
- Previous experience as a delivery driver or in a similar role is required.
- Familiarity with route driving and navigating local areas effectively.
- Ability to operate forklifts and pallet jacks safely is advantageous.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail for maintaining delivery records.
- A valid driver's license with a clean driving record is required.
