To perform professional level reliability engineering assignments of average and higher complexity in the specialized field of reliability.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Develops and implements procedures and systems for predicting and monitoring reliability and reliability growth on general aviation aircraft and systems.
- Maintains a strong working knowledge in the use of the reliability methodologies and tools. (Early, useful and wear out life; Weibull distribution; mean-time-between-failures; confidence limits, etc.)
- Maintains a solid working knowledge of and the use of computers in analyzing reliability data.
- Coordinates with other engineering and technical groups to implement and monitor reliability activities.
- Maintains a working knowledge of probability and statistics and their application to reliability engineering.
- Abilities to communicate effectively, both verbally and written, with other functions within the company and outside the company.
- Prepares and presents verbal and written material on reliability topics and related fields to peers and management groups.
- Requires frequent contact with personnel in Engineering, Product Support, Supply Chain and outside suppliers.
- Bachelors degree required in engineering or related technical field
- Experience in engineering or related field preferred
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills
- The ability to learn multiple aircraft subsystems to become proficient in how they interact with other systems and affect overall component reliablity.
- The ability to work in a team environment and to effectively communicate with peers, management, and customers.
- Must be able to use common software applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Must have understanding of basic statistics
