Description
JOB SUMMARY:
To form, finish, join and assemble a variety of production and aircraft parts.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Perform operations necessary to smooth and finish welded parts and assemblies.
- Grind and smooth welded parts to appearance specifications.
- Performs clean and leak test operations on welded details and assemblies.
- A check, join, straighten or hand form detail and weld assemblies in accordance with appropriate check fixtures, specifications, oral and written instructions.
- Use metal forming and trimming tools such as hammers, hand shears and drills, and operate fabrication equipment such as sanders, grinders, buffers, expanders, reamers and torches.
- Responsible for the quality of own work.
- Perform other related duties as required.
Qualifications
EDUCATION:
Must have a high school diploma, an equivalent certificate, or a bronze level WorkKeys certification.
EXPERIENCE:
No experience required.
WORKING CONDITIONS:
Somewhat disagreeable working conditions due to exposure to dust, fumes, sparks, and heat.
