About This Role

We believe people should love what they do – in this role, your responsibilities may include:

• Electronic/electrical assembly and sub-assembly processes including precision electrical, mechanical, cable and harness assemblies
• May also be qualified (via Quality System) to perform final inspections of assemblies
• Perform self-inspection and testing of assemblies produced
• Assemble by hand or using semiautomatic/automatic assembly equipment.
• Working with hand tools such as soldering irons, wire strippers, crimpers, wrenches, screwdrivers, pliers, and torque wrenches
• Works from manufacturing assembly instructions, parts lists (bill of materials), drawings, verbal instructions and notes to assemble, wire and install a wide variety of components.
• Required to build to blueprint specifications.
• Evaluate and determine components to be integrated into subassembly and assembly units.
• Works with engineers to assist in the development of new products or processes
• Other related duties as required
  
  

Qualifications

• High School diploma plus 4 years of manufacturing assembly experience working with complex and intricate electronic assemblies is required.
• Relevant military experience in electronic equipment is a plus.
• Ability to communicate and interface with program team to plan, prioritize, and execute an aggressive manufacturing schedule.
• Skilled and experienced at reading and understanding instructions, procedures, engineering drawings, electronic schematics and specifications.
• Experience with tools necessary to fabricate and test electronic circuitry. Experience working with wire harnessing, cable assembly and tooling specific to the electronics assembly
• Self-starter – ability to plan, coordinate and execute daily tasks and responsibilities with minimal supervision
• Solid background in digital and analog circuitry.
• IPC certified or able to obtain certification in IPC-610 (Acceptability of Electronic Assemblies), IPC-620 (Requirements and Acceptance for Cable and Wire Harness Assemblies), and J-STD-001 (Requirements for Soldered Electrical and Electronic Assemblies).
• Proficient in the use of the following: Microsoft Office software (Word, Excel, Power Point).
• Unit and Systems Level Test experience, including performance of system calibrations, is a plus.
• Experience working with various types of electronic parts: capacitors, resistors and connectors
• Experience with quality standards and standard operating procedures to ensure that all assemblies meet/exceed quality standards, is a plus.
• Strong attention to detail to effectively assemble and test electronic assemblies
• Effective time management skills to ensure that contractual delivery obligations are satisfied in the specified timeframe with good OTD to meet and exceed customer expectations.
• Must be a US citizen able to obtain/maintain a SECRET security clearance
