Job Description:
In this role, the Shipping Associate is responsible for:
Hours are 3pm-11:30pm
- Preparing products for international and domestic shipment to customers, vendors, and other company locations.
- Ensuring timely delivery of products to manufacturing by work order, or as verbally directed.
- Receiving and locating work in process and finished goods from production while maintaining and organizing appropriate documentation and records.
- Coordinating deliveries, unloading, and verification of incoming material cataloging and processing of all purchase order deliveries.
- Following all quality and safety guidelines.
- Training new associates as required.
- Work and support other functional areas to improve the flexibility of job assignments.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment as well as documents and orders.
- Special projects as required.
- Performing other duties as assigned.
- High school diploma or GED and 6 - 12 months of equivalent work experience.
- Good math and computer skills.
- Knowledge of HAZMAT DOT is highly preferred.
- Must be able to comprehend intermediate English
- The ability to comprehend standard operating procedures and work instructions.
- Ability to communicate effectively orally and in written form.
- Appropriate interpersonal skills to allow for courteous and effective interaction with co-workers and management.
- Capability to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, pictorial, or diagram form.
- Capability to regularly stand, stoop, kneel, lift, move, and/or transport up to 50 lbs.
- Flexibility to work overtime as requested.
- Must be able to work in a warehouse environment with exposure to varying weather elements such as heat and cold conditions.
