The role of the Installer is to perform tasks related the installation of audio and video systems. Using your mechanical aptitude, ability to learn and our training you will grow in your knowledge and skills advancing in position. You will report to the project lead who is responsible for the performance, efficiency and effectiveness of the day-to-day tasks required to progress Projects. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
General Responsibilities:
- Basic installation of low voltage systems, displays, cabling, speakers, paging systems and cameras.
- Perform assigned tasks timely, efficiently, and as accurately as possible.
- Communicate issues in a timely manner to team lead and superintendent.
- Show up with personal responsibility and a willingness to learn.
Responsibilities
- Basic understanding of appropriate tools and equipment needed for successful installation.
- Identify and request correct equipment type and quantities.
- Work with Lead for installation solutions and ideas.
- Ensure installation instructions including specs and project requirements communicated by leads are adhered to.
- Ensure installations meet both TFE standards and customer expectations. These will be part of ongoing training.
Organizational Effectiveness
- Learn and adhere to TFE policies and procedures.
- Grow and maintain knowledge of Industry Standards and Best Practices, Local Codes, and OSHA requirements.
- Keep track of and maintain control of all TFE assets in your custody or used on site for implementation.
- Enter accurate timecard and implementation status information daily.
- The ability to pass a thorough state background check.
- Basic computer and phone skills.
- Ability to work effectively in an individual and team environment.
- Ability to sit or stand for long periods of time.
- Ability to perform physical duties in the field including lifting, climbing ladders, and working machinery.
- Requires occasional travel and flexible schedule with seasonal extended hours and variable shifts.
- Basic understanding of primary technical lingo and common technical techniques needed to properly install.
- Ability to learn and understand plans and specifications.
- Good communication skills both verbal and written.
