Job Summary
The Central Dispatch Supervisor manages and coordinates the timely movement of customers freight while utilizing resources in the most cost-effective manner. They assess freight volumes and forecasts to execute load planning. This position provides integrated and comprehensive line haul solutions, generates reports, and coordinates line haul communication for a given region. The Central Dispatch Supervisor analyzes TFF operational performance to identify improvement opportunities and maximize efficiencies. They supervise specialists and clerks working within a region. In addition, this position communicates extensively with field operations personnel so that plans are understood, and expectations are met.

Job Responsibilities
- The Central Dispatch Supervisor reviews freight volume and forecasts with Operations to conduct load planning (e.g., staffing needs, driver availability, etc.), meet operational targets, maintain cost-effectiveness, and ensure regulatory compliance.
- Creates contingency plans for excess and low freight volume in specific lanes to meet operational goals and to prepare for variances (e.g., driver issues, late arrivals, weather delays, mechanical failures, etc.).
- Communicates plans with Operations to handle freight volume and meet service levels.
- Monitors freight movement to anticipate and identify key issues impacting cost and to mitigate delays.
- Plans equipment needs for contracts, rails, etc.) to reduce non-productive schedules and cost.
- U.S. citizen or otherwise authorized to work in the U.S.
