What are the responsibilities and job description for the Freight Handling Assistant Manager position at TForce Freight?
Job Responsibilities
The successful candidate will be responsible for operating powered warehouse equipment, including forklifts, cherry pickers, and hydraulic jacks, to manage dock needs and maintain the safety and cleanliness of the dock and yard areas. They will also be responsible for printing BOLs for daily deliveries, processing and palletizing damaged merchandise, following all safety protocols, and helping to maintain dock equipment.
Key Qualifications
- A U.S. citizen or otherwise authorized to work in the U.S.
- Forklift operator certification
- Good overall physical condition
- Team-oriented work ethic
- At least one year of experience working with heavy machinery
