What are the responsibilities and job description for the Maintenance Millwright- Pet Food position at TFP Nutrition?

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Repair and maintain industrial equipment to include screw and chain drag conveyors, gearboxes, airlocks, belts / chain sprockets/ pully, air cylinders, bearings…
Able to read and understand drawings and printed instructions
Possess basic understanding in line ups of pumps, sheaves, sprockets, machines
Must be able to move machinery and equipment, using hoists, dollies, rollers, and forklift
Adjust the tension on nuts and bolts, chains, belts or position parts, using hand tools, tracking conveyor belts
Align machines and equipment, using hoists, jacks, hand tools, squares and rules
Assemble and install equipment, using hand tools and power tools
Build/weld basic mounting brackets, layout mounting holes and drill holes with a power drill,
Replace defective parts on machines / equipment
Work 12hr shifts and overtime as scheduled or required
Must successfully complete a pre-employment drug screen, physical, and background check
Willing and able to maintain strict adherence to safety rules and regulations, including wearing safety PPE and completing all required Food Safety training
Other duties as assigned

Required skills and experience:

Must have 5 years of Millwright experience in Industrial / Manufacturing facility
Must have cutting torch experience (Oxygen/Acetylene) (Plasma)
Must have welding experience - Stick
Diagnosing and fixing mechanical issues, often under time constraints to minimize downtime
Work 12hr shifts and overtime as scheduled or required
High School Diploma or GED – (Licenses and Certifications – preferred)
Willing and able to maintain strict adherence to safety rules and regulations, including wearing safety PPE and completing all required Food Safety training.
Must successfully complete a pre-employment drug screen, physical, and background check
Willing and able to work a 12-hour shift / 48hrs week schedule
Willingness and ability to cross-train to learn new jobs and skills
Must be able to lift 50 pounds routinely
Must keep professional manners and attitude

Additional Experience – (preferred)

Pay Range: Starting pay $26.00-$32.00 Per hour Depending on Experience

Night shift differential - $1.00 per hour

Sign on Bonus and Monthly Attendance Bonus

Pet Food Shift availability: 6am-6pm and 6pm-6am. Weekly working hours 48 per week.

There is mandatory overtime associated with being a maintenance technician. This may include weekends and/or holidays.
