Retail Assistant - Seasonal

The Retail Assistant at Pine Canyon plays a key role in supporting the daily operations of the Golf Shop and providing an exceptional shopping experience for members and guests. This position involves assisting with inventory management, helping create attractive product displays, and ensuring smooth customer service. The Retail Assistant will work closely with the Corporate Buyer and Head Golf Professional and other team members to help bring the retail strategy to life and maintain Pine Canyon's high standards of quality and service.

Key Responsibilities:

Merchandising and Visual Presentation:

• Create and maintain visually appealing product displays in the Golf Shop to enhance the shopping experience.
• Refresh displays regularly to reflect seasonal themes, events, and promotions.
• Partner with the Director of Operations and Marketing/Communications team on promotional initiatives.

Operations and Administration

• Utilize point of sale system to accurately receive, tag and display incoming goods.
• Maintain accurate inventory records, manage stock levels, and conduct regular inventory counts across all retail areas.
• Monitor and report on sales metrics, identifying trends and making recommendations for adjustments.

Member Service and Engagement:

• Provide excellent service, building strong member relationships and assisting with product selections.
• Lead merchandising events such as trunk shows to drive member engagement and sales.
• Gather and act on member feedback to continually improve retail offerings.

Qualifications:

• Education: High School GED
• Experience: Experience in high-end retail space, and while prior experience in a golf setting is preferred it is not required.

• Skills:
• • Basic knowledge of visual merchandising, inventory management and customer service.
  • Proficiency in POS systems (Jonas), Microsoft Office Suite, and merchandising software.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Ability to multitask and manage priorities in a dynamic environment.

Working Conditions:
Availability during peak retail times, including evenings and weekends, may be required to accommodate member events.
