Purpose:
A Sea Colony tram driver is responsible for safely operating a tram along a designated route, picking up and dropping off passengers at designated stops, adhering to a set timetable, performing pre-shift safety checks on the tram, monitoring road conditions and traffic signals and prioritizing passenger safety and schedule adherence.
Essential Functions of the Position:
- Give full attention to the passengers and be responsible for their safety and well-being;
- Conduct a thorough tram inspection before and after each use, every day;
- Keep the tram clean
- Drive the tram in a safe manner as required by law
- Provide a welcoming and professional environment for passengers, including assisting with boarding, answering questions, and offering information about the route and local attractions.
- Keep communications with the Tram assistant
Requirements:
- Minimum of 1-2 years of experience with public or private transportation.
- Must be at least 21 and authorized to work in the United States;
- Valid driver’s license with a good driving record and be insurable; Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) Class B with Passenger Endorsement, preferred, but not required
- High school diploma or GED and at least 2-3 years of a verifiable employment history
- Must be able to pass pre-employment and random Drug & Alcohol tests
- Have or be able to obtain a DOT physical/Medical Certification Card
