Description
The I&E Technician II is responsible for maintaining and troubleshooting well site and facilities automation equipment.
Responsibilities
- Configure meters and pressure transmitters.
- Perform maintenance and installation on all equipment including but not limited to pressure and tank level transmitters, level switches, gas monitors, control valves and plunger lifts.
- Assess automation and communication projects for internal and external evaluation.
- Maintain knowledge of 277/480 volt systems along with AC motors, MMC’s, VFD drives, motor starters, and controls.
- Maintain knowledge of 120/240 volt systems and able to maintain and repair.
- Have training and be comfortable on electrical systems and arc flash training.
- Repairing, installing, troubleshooting, and performing predictive and preventative maintenance tasks on control systems, natural gas compression or pump stations, SCADA, and other equipment contained within gas and liquid facilities and pipelines.
- Understand and maintain ESD systems.
- Participate in call out/on call requirements, as this position is subject to call-outs to respond to operational issues and emergencies after working hours, at night, and on weekends and holidays.
- Have a general understanding of SCADA systems – CygNet, Induction.

- Performs all other duties required for which the employee is qualified and trained
Requirements
- 5 years’ experience in oilfield electrical & instrumentation and/or production
- Some technical education in electronics a plus· Must be familiar with 12V and 24 V solar systems along with controls.
- Basic control knowledge of PCCU (TotalFlow)· Knowledge of configuring and troubleshooting wellhead plunger programs (PCCU).
- Skilled in ABB and FisherROC for metering· Knowledge of Allen Bradly, Siemens and PLC work
- Basic Microsoft Word and Excel skills (i.e. saving files and spreadsheets)
- Basic knowledge of measurement meters and troubleshooting issues
- Safety awareness of power systems and controls· A steady work history and strong work-ethic
Working Conditions and Physical Requirements
- Prolonged sitting, standing, walking
- Familiar with PPE and wearing FR clothing.
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
- Ability to individually lift: Maximum 100 lbs.
