Position Summary
Operations-focused land technician with an upstream operator that assists with AFEs, internal and external reporting, file and deck maintenance, as well as general land support
Responsibilities
· Research leases, contracts, and regulatory orders for proposals or specific information for Land staff
· Create or assist in the creation of exhibits for assignments, trade agreements, and other contracts
· Lead the partner balloting, notification, and response tracking for operated well projects including preparation of partner ballots, logging and tracking elections, analyzing JOAs for relevant provisions and response periods, and communicating AFE status weekly
· Coordinate the creation, internal approval and tracking of AFEs for both operated and non-operated properties in Quorum
· Review invoices and code to appropriate AFEs and account codes.
· Transmit leases, assignments, etc. to land administration and to partners as applicable
· Assist land staff with project cost tracking. Prepare and track wire and check requests. Confirm that payments were made and communicated to stakeholders
· Work with TGNR operations team to set up partners to receive activity reports and delivery of data as required per AFE elections
· Work with OBO operators to obtain activity reports and delivery of data from the operator as required per AFE elections and contract obligations
· Assist Land staff with various facets of project management, including document compilation, report preparation, and internal/external stakeholder coordination
· Communicate DOI changes to Land Admin staff and payout tracking parameters to Accounting
· Prepare standard-form agreements, letters, and file memos
Qualifications
· Bachelor’s Degree required; Petroleum Land Management (PLM), Energy Management, Business or related field preferred
· Minimum of 5 years of broad-based, in-house experience with an upstream operator
· General familiarity with upstream operations and the Land discipline
· Experience balloting partners for drilling and workover operations
· Understanding of JIB decks and payout tracking, and the effects of non-consent elections on same
· Familiarlity with common land contract types: JOAs, Assignments, Leases, etc.
· Experience with invoice review and coding

· Clear communicator with excellent organization, problem solving, data-mining and time management skills
· Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel and PowerPoint)
· Experience with M-Files, ArcGIS, DrillingInfo (Enverus), IHS Enerdeq, Quorum (QLS & QDO), and Open Invoice is a plus
