Description
The Lease Operator I is responsible for safe and efficient, daily operations of our natural gas system. This is an entry-level position which will receive training to perform troubleshooting, routine maintenance, and equipment startup.
Responsibilities
- Travel to each location to gather, record, and report all relevant information (i.e. gauges, fluids, pressures, production, etc., in an accurate and consistent manner).
- Inspect locations for any leaks, spills, and recognize any potential issues. Contact immediate supervisor with any relevant issues, or significant production loss in a timely manner.
- Once fully trained, this position will troubleshoot, repair and correct issues as necessary.
- Record and process all paper work, inspections, time cards, and expense reports in a timely manner.
Requirements
- Competent with Microsoft Excel and Outlook Express.
- Oilfield experience is a plus but not required
- Must be able to perform simple daily tasks with hand tools.
- Must have valid driver’s license.

Physical Demands and Exposures
- Work is regularly performed in outside weather conditions, including rain and extreme cold and heat, near moving mechanical parts; exposure to high wind, ice, snow, wet and/or humid conditions, vibration, and dust is expected.
- Exposure to noise levels requiring the use of hearing protection
- Prolonged sitting, standing, walking
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
- Ability to individually lift: Maximum 100 lbs.
- Possible exposures to gas/ liquid hydrocarbons and salt water.
