Warehouse Operator and Inside Sales Support

Plumbing, wastewater, and industrial equipment representative-distributor in Chesterfield, MO has an immediate opening for a full-time person to be responsible for warehouse, shipping/receiving general building maintenance cleaning and care, answering phones and inside sales support.

Hours of operation are 8:00AM - 5:00PM Monday through Friday.

No nights or weekends!

At times the position will involve physically demanding activities such as packing/loading heavy cartons, assembling them on pallets and banding or shrink wrapping them for shipment. This is a single-person warehouse. Applicant must be able to occasionally lift/move cartons weighing as much as 90-pounds.

Must be adept at or able to learn to work with UPS Worldship online computer program, Parcel and LTL packaging, palletizing, shipping, receiving, freight claims, walk-in customers. Our company is a sales agency and it is our belief that every employee, although some indirectly, is responsible for helping to make sales. We are looking for someone who is self starting and who will communicate well while helping to improve business and the general working environment at our company.

A well qualified applicant would have the following experience:
Knowledge of warehouse operations and safety
Shipping, packaging, arranging shipments/freight claims etc.
Mechanical ability
Organizational skills (learning part numbers, arranging warehouse space, inventory counts) - Inventory Management
Custodial of small office/warehouse building (cleaning dusting running vac, changing light bulbs etc.).

Ability to answer phone in a professional and courteous manner.
Light familiarity with Microsoft Office (MS Word and Outlook; email program)
Interest in a challenging, problem solving environment
Innovative and self-motivated, able to spot things that need to be done then do them.
