Position Overview
We are seeking a Community Manager to oversee property management functions, ensure tenant satisfaction, and maintain operational efficiency across multiple residential properties. This role is hybrid, with the potential to work from home or in the field two days per week, depending on experience and maturity. Less seasoned candidates may be required to be in the office five days per week.
Key Responsibilities
Oversee property marketing to ensure sufficient tenant interest.
Review and process rental applications through the leasing program.
Conduct site inspections and evaluate unit conditions.
Monitor rent collection, identify slow-paying tenants, and coordinate with collections.
Work closely with maintenance teams to schedule and oversee repairs.
Facilitate residential leasing, which comprises 99% of the business.
Manage a portfolio of approximately 120 units across three properties in Lexington, KY.
Maintain a presence in the Versailles office as needed.
Act as a liaison between tenants and the company, navigating communication and language barriers where applicable (Spanish-speaking tenants in the Louisville market).
Qualifications & Requirements
Must-Haves :
Minimum of 2 years of experience in property management or real estate.
Strong communication and comprehension skills.
Ability to work collaboratively within a team.
Proactive in asking questions and seeking clarity when needed.
High level of integrity and initiative.
Comfortable with a religious workplace environment where discussions about faith occur.
Ability to work effectively with younger staff and contribute to a positive work culture.
Nice-to-Haves :
Bilingual in Spanish.
Familiarity with AppFolio property management software.
