Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Construction Project Manager with specialized knowledge in utilities, grading, paving, and underground work to oversee and manage a variety of construction projects, including public works, in Las Vegas and Henderson, Nevada. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of the construction industry, have strong leadership skills, and be adept at managing project budgets, timelines, and quality standards. Experience working on public sector projects in Nevada is preferred. The candidate must have a minimum of two years of experience as a Project Manager.
Key Responsibilities:
- Project Planning & Execution: Oversee the entire lifecycle of construction projects from initial planning and design through completion, ensuring all projects are executed in line with client specifications, budgets, and timelines.
- Utilities & Underground Work: Manage utility installations (water, sewer, stormwater, ) and underground work, ensuring adherence to local regulations and safety standards.
- Grading & Paving: Supervise all grading and paving activities, including earthwork, asphalt, with a focus on quality control and meeting project specifications.
- Public Projects: Lead the management of public works projects in Las Vegas and Henderson, ensuring compliance with government regulations, permits, and public safety standards.
- Budget Management: Prepare and manage detailed project budgets, including labor, materials, and equipment. Monitor costs against budgets and make necessary adjustments to keep projects on track.
- Scheduling & Timelines: Develop and maintain detailed project schedules, ensuring that milestones are met, and project delays are minimized. Coordinate with subcontractors, suppliers, and internal teams to ensure timely project execution.
- Risk Management: Identify and mitigate potential risks to project success, including safety risks, delays, cost overruns, and compliance issues. Implement corrective actions when necessary.
- Client & Stakeholder Communication: Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, government agencies, and other stakeholders. Provide regular updates on project progress, address concerns, and ensure client satisfaction.
- Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and manage project teams, including engineers, superintendents, foremen, and subcontractors. Foster a collaborative working environment and ensure effective communication across teams.
- Compliance & Documentation: Ensure all construction activities comply with local, state, and federal regulations. Maintain detailed records and documentation for permits, inspections, contracts, and change orders.
- Quality Control & Inspections: Conduct regular site inspections to ensure work quality meets or exceeds industry standards and client expectations. Address any deficiencies or issues in a timely manner.
- Health & Safety Management: Implement and monitor safety programs to ensure compliance with OSHA standards and company safety policies. Promote a safety-first culture on all job sites.
Required Qualifications:
- Minimum Experience: 2 years of experience as a Construction Project Manager, specifically with projects involving utilities, grading, paving, and underground work.
- Construction Experience: Proven experience managing small to medium size infrastructure and construction projects, including public projects, utilities, grading, paving, and underground work.
- Public Sector Knowledge: Familiarity with public project requirements, particularly in Nevada (experience working with NDOT, local municipalities, or other public agencies is preferred).
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field is preferred but not required.
- Software Proficiency: Proficient in construction management software Heavy Bid and MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Regulatory Knowledge: Understanding of federal, state, and local building codes, regulations, and permitting processes, particularly in Nevada.
Salary : $110,000 - $160,000
