What are the responsibilities and job description for the Warehouse Lead (over night) position at TGG Accounting?
My meat distribution client is looking to bring on temp-to-hire warehouse lead to assist the warehouse supervisors in day-to-day warehouse operations.
Hours : 10pm start time, Sunday - Thursday
Duties and responsibilities include managing warehouse operations Sunday
through Thursday, inventory control, routing and planning the use of resources
such as labor, time, and materials.
Inventory Management - counting boxes quickly and accurately, regular rotation of
product inventory (FIFO), perform regular cycle counts, etc.
Working in Cold Storage - regularly working in cooler and freezer environment
Order selecting - scanning completed orders
Load and Unloading trailers - using Forklift and electric Pallet Jacks
Training, managing and motivating warehouse staff
Communication - ability to professionally communicate verbally and electronically
with other staff.
Maintaining equipment maintenance records
Meeting deadlines and handling pressure
Drafting emails on the computer, creating, and modifying company documents,
procedures, disciplinary actions, etc.
Qualifications and Skills :
5 years of warehouse operation experience - required.
Food Industry experience - preferred.
Prior Supervisor experience - preferred.
Prior experience working in cold storage - preferred.
The ability to train and motivate employees while maintaining a strong
leadership presence.
Forklift Certified - Standup forklift, electric rider pallet jacks
