Job Description:
The Plastics Production Team Lead is responsible for coordinating the processing of materials and manufacturing of products. This individual works in a team environment to direct production team members, develop an effective and efficient workforce, and set and process injection molds in molding machines according to scheduling priorities.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Organizes and allocates team members based on production demands.
- Coordinates and oversees training of team members.
- Ensures conformity to production requirements, including stopping production to correct quality problems when necessary.
- Ensures all team members are working safely.
- Inspects machines and equipment to ensure optimal operational performance and utilization.
- Directs team members to adhere to company policies, procedures, work instructions, and record keeping.
- Communicates and coordinates with the human resources team to address production needs.
- Maintains awareness of product quality and adheres to ISO 9001 and IATF 16949 standards.
Requirements:
- Two to four years of manufacturing experience preferred.
- Two years of injection molding experience preferred.
- Previous supervisory experience preferred.
