Production Supervisor (Day shift)
Direct Hire
Directs and coordinates the activities of the department with overall responsibility for planning, production, productivity, quality, inventory control, and labor relations within the department. Additionally, the Production Supervisor provides coaching and direction to the shop floor to ensure targets are met.
Responsibility :
- Responsible for maintaining a safe work environment for all associates
- Initiates and manages all environmental permits to comply with state and federal government regulations and requirements
- Responsible for training and development of direct reports
- Manages departmental budget, costs and expenditures
- Responsible for performing in-house ISO audit functions
- Reviews and recommends production schedules and work orders
- Ensures on-time delivery of customer orders; analyzes inventory levels to assure on-time shipments
- Works with engineering and maintenance to develop and execute long-range programs, to include capacity planning, equipment and strategic capital investments
- Coordinates planning and scheduling of maintenance to machines and equipment to minimalize downtime
- Develops and executes improvement projects on time and within budget to achieve targeted savings
- All department processes and procedures documented and the appropriate individual(s) trained and cross-trained as necessary
Requirements :
Bachelor's Degree is a plus
Lean Manufacturing Experience
Strong analytical, numerical and reasoning abilities.
