What you will do in this role:
- Works collaboratively with physicians and hospital staff to assure completion of records that meet all regulatory and facility requirements.
- Reviews and responds to the daily fatal error reports for HIM related issues.
- Answer inquiries from internal and external contacts regarding information recorded in patient’s medical records, within all departmental policies and guidelines.
- Responds appropriately to any potential HIM issues.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Qualifications:
- Associates or Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Previous experience in health information management required, prior supervisory experience preferred.
- Prefer Registered Health Information Administrator (RHIA) or Registered Health Information Technician (RHIT).
- Valid driver’s license preferred.
