Infrastructure Engineer
Job Title: Infrastructure Engineer
iPower Technologies is a growing IT Managed Services provider offering computer and network support to its nationwide base of clients. We have an immediate open position for an Infrastructure Engineer who will provide high-level support to our client base. This person understands the importance of white glove service and strives to provide support and a sympathetic ear when things are going wrong for the client. Exemplary work ethic combined with consistent performance, reliability, and attendance are top priorities. They seamlessly transition from desktop support to server and network issues, depending on the moment and demands of the day.
Qualifications: The ideal candidate must have 6 years of experience in a fast-paced Business IT Support Environment. Infrastructure Engineers are responsible for setting up and maintaining servers, whether in the cloud or in the datacenter. They ensure that systems on the company's network, especially the servers, run smoothly and securely. This includes networks, servers, on-prem environments, and cloud environments. Serve as an escalation point for Tier III technicians.
Additionally, candidates must be well-organized and able to prioritize multiple tasks. Candidates must work well under pressure and tight deadlines. This position requires schedule flexibility to accommodate project deadlines, urgent issues, and after-hour maintenance calls from time to time. Candidates must be detail-oriented and understand the importance of properly documenting work and logging time in a professional services environment.
Qualities We Look For:
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Substantial experience with Windows Servers
- Strong understanding of fundamental networking concepts
- Strong understanding of architecting and configuring Microsoft Windows OS technology including AD Forests, Domains, Trusts, DNS, DHCP, NPS, Certificate Authority, Group Policy, and Organizational Units
- Demonstrated knowledge and experience with VMware
- Experience with Microsoft 365 Migration - including Exchange Hybrid, Tenant to Tenant and Third Party Email Providers Migrations.
- Experience with HCI is a plus (Nutanix, VxRail, HyperFlex)
- Excellent interpersonal, customer service, and problem-solving skills
- Strong time management and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and changing priorities
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team
- A driver's license and vehicle, with the ability to travel to client locations
- 5-6 years of technical experience relevant to the above
- A solid and well-thought-out diagnostic mindset
- Physical ability to lift and move heavy equipment (servers, computers, etc.)
- Familiarity with the ConnectWise Suite of products is helpful but not required
- InDepth Knowledge of Deployment methods for Intune and Windows 365
- Experience with Zero-Trust agents such as Zscaler and Microsoft Global Secure Access
Responsibilities:
- Proficient at designing, building, migrating, and maintaining:
- Business networks and systems, including hardware
- Windows Servers and Active Directory, Entra Connect, SSO and Device Syncrozitation
- Secure and redundant infrastructures
- Cloud engineering for Azure and AWS
- Manage and execute projects to meet deadlines and client expectations
- Guide Systems Engineers on the remote and field engineering teams
- Configure and manage Microsoft Server and Microsoft Graph/Entra with PowerShell expertise
- Administer, configure, maintain, and upgrade various VMware technologies
- Administer, configure, maintain, and upgrade hyper-converged infrastructures
- Administer and configure NAS and SAN technologies from various vendors, mostly DELL
- Install, configure, and troubleshoot all network equipment, routers, firewalls, switches, wireless access points, and SSL-VPN setups from various vendors, such as Cisco, Extreme, HP, Meraki, Netgear, SonicWALL, UniFi
- Provide disaster recovery and backup solutions and support using Zerto, Veeam, Acronis, and others
- Diagnose and resolve unique, nonrecurring problems associated with application software and operating systems; determine the source of problems and classify their level, priority, and nature
- Maintain inventory of installed software, manage software licensing, and create policies and procedures for upgrades
- Work with hardware and software vendors to verify timely product delivery and ensure that new equipment is installed and ready to operate on schedule
- Document procedures, standards, best practices, configurations, settings, installation sequences, and back-out instructions
- Help develop and guide other systems engineers to their full potential
- Availability for after-hours and weekend support, while being conscientious of work-life balance

Qualifications
Salary : $99,000 - $100,000
