Job Responsibilities
- Diagnostics: The Junior Automotive Technician/Mechanic will diagnose customer vehicles according to their level of certification/experience, ensuring accurate and efficient work.
- Repair Orders: The technician will perform work as outlined on the Multi-point Inspection and/or Repair Order, meeting dealership, manufacturer, and company standards.
- Customer Communication: They will explain technical diagnosis and needed repairs to non-mechanical individuals, including store managers, service consultants, and customers.
- Service Recommendations: The technician will recommend necessary services to keep customer vehicles in running condition, properly documenting recommendations in customer files.
- Safety Procedures: They will follow all safety procedures and report any concerns to the Shop Foreman or Store Manager.
- Certifications: The Junior Automotive Technician/Mechanic will maintain appropriate ASE certifications and renewals of expiring certifications.
