TGS International Group is looking for a detail-oriented and proactive Data Centre Support Engineer to join our operations team in Weehawken, NJ.
Key Responsibilities
This is a hands-on role for someone who thrives in fast-paced environments and has a passion for cabling, hardware, and infrastructure support.
- Cable Management: Audit and document cabling setups and desktop configurations. Plan and manage patching schedules using cable management software.
- Hardware Support: Handle disconnection, relocation, and setup of desktop hardware and peripherals. Perform secure data wiping using software tools.
- Network Support: Install, patch, and test voice and data cabling (copper and fiber). Diagnose and repair network cabling faults using modern testing tools.
- Inventory Management: Maintain accurate stock records and update inventory usage. Conduct surveys and maintain technical documentation and schematics.
- Equipment Installation: Install and support telephone handsets (analogue, digital, VoIP). Rack, stack, and connect network/server equipment in data halls.
