Description
SUMMARY
The Resident Automation Technician II supports our customer on all automation-related topics. This position requires a broad-based electrical and mechanical skillset and a proactive approach to improve the site's performance through trouble-shooting and hands-on repair. Based at our customer sites, the Resident Automation Technician II must represent the TGW image and ensure that a professional relationship with the client is developed and maintained.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Resolve customer equipment issues as quickly and practically as possible.
- Complete work assignments and the associated work orders as assigned.
- Complete maintenance activities pertaining to the automated equipment onsite, including conveyors, cranes, shuttles, scale checks, and carton-opening systems.
- Adhere to the highest quality standards, while always ensuring compliance with health and safety legislation.
- Optimize automation efficiency and performance to ensure delivery of contracted KPIs. Interface with the customer as needed to support operations.
- Monitor and maintain the site spare parts inventory, as applicable.
- Collaborate with the broader TGW Lifetime Services team to track, document, and communicate issues and lessons learned.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
REQUIREMENTS
Education :
High school diploma or GED required. Associate degree or Technical Certificate preferred.
Experience :
Minimum two (2) years of demonstrated experience maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing equipment in industrial, warehousing / distribution, or related environments.
