SOFTWARE TEST ENGINEER II

Description

Principal Duty

This is an entry to mid-level position that will contribute to a team effort in all aspects of testing, commissioning and support.

Tasks and Responsibilities

1. Write C# and/or Java code to meet functional testing specifications.
2. Understand solution design and intent of the system.
3. Create test cases, perform software functional tests using an equipment emulation model, and execute performance tests.
4. Report testing status.
5. Provide start-up and post go-live support.
6. Participate in the software development team.
7. Participate in an on-call rotation.

Requirements Profile

1. A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience
2. At least 3 years of experience testing complex systems, including writing tests and developing test plans.
3. Excellent written and verbal communication skills
4. IDE experience (e.g. Microsoft Visual Studio, Eclipse, NetBeans)
5. Proficient in object oriented design principles and programming in C#
6. Knowledge of continuous integration and code delivery concepts
7. Ability to have fun while working in a fast-paced enviroment
8. Proficient in unit testing, automated testing, functional testing and test design
9. Understanding of material handling concepts preferred
10. Familiarity with source control (e.g. TFS, GIT, SVN)
11. Familiarity with agile methods and practices
12. Familiarity with relational database application programming
13. Ability to travel up to 40% of the time on short notice, including international travel
