Office Assistant, Part-Time, (M-F: 09:00 am – 01:00 pm)

THA Hydraulics, a reputational lifting equipment manufacture, seeks an experienced Office Assistant to oversee all administrative operations at our office located in Kansas City, MO. As an Office Assistant, you will be performing a variety of administrative and clerical tasks to support the smooth operation of an office, including answering phones, scheduling appointments, managing files, handling incoming mail, providing basic customer service, and maintaining office records

Key responsibilities of an office assistant:

  • Mail handling: Receiving, sorting, and distributing incoming mail, managing outgoing mail and packages.
  • File management: Maintaining filing systems, retrieving and organizing documents.
  • First Point of Contact: Professionally handle incoming phone calls and greeting visitors, taking messages.
  • Order Processing: Receiving and process customer orders, verifying order accuracy and pricing and communicating order status updates to customers.
  • Customer Relationship Management: Answering customer inquiries and addressing concerns, maintaining customer records and tracking customer interactions and providing after-sales support.
  • Logistics Coordination: Manage office supplies, coordinate incoming and outgoing shipments.
  • Office supplies: Keeping track of office supplies, ordering new materials when needed.
  • Data Management: Develop Excell spreadsheets as needed and maintain organized customer and accounting files in database.
  • Facility Maintenance: Monitor and manage office cleaning services and address building issues with the landlord.
  • Basic administrative tasks: Supporting staff with various administrative tasks as needed

Required skills for an office assistant:

  • Strong organizational skills
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Attention to detail
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Ability to multitask effectively
  • Some local travel to the post office, bank etc….as required.

Job Types: Part-time (M-F: 09:00 am – 01:00 pm)

Benefits: No benefits will be offered for this position.

Pay: up to $18.00 per hour
