What are the responsibilities and job description for the Production Painter position at Thacker Casket Manufacturing?
Thacker Casket Manufacturing is the largest family owned casket manufacturing company and has been in business since 1939. At our manufacturing facility located in Florence, Alabama we proudly employ approximately 200 hard working Americans. The vision of Thacker Casket Manufacturing is "To be the best supplier to more families of an honest product at an honest price."
In order to achieve that vision we are looking for a production painter to work in our paint department. This position is a full time position where normal work hours are from 5:30 AM to 4:00 PM Monday thru Thursday, with overtime on Friday's available depending on market conditions. If no overtime is needed then all employee will enjoy a standard three-day weekend.
The position entails painting raw metal caskets into finished product that meets the quality expectations of the company. We use various color combinations to create our finished caskets and paint our caskets with industrial spray guns. Applicants with prior autobody painting experience are best suited for this job.
All employees at Thacker Casket Manufacturing are compensated for their work with an hourly rate of pay plus a performance bonus based upon key production and quality metrics for their department. The hourly rate for painter is $19.20 plus the opportunity to earn a bi-weekly production bonus based on production and quality performance.
Tardiness will not be accepted as each team member must be present in order for the department to success as a whole. Only serious applicants need apply.
All applicants must have at least 6 months or more of painting experience and reliable transportation to and from work.
