We’re seeking compassionate and motivated individuals to join our team as Hybrid Volunteer Life Coaches. Together, we’ll make a meaningful difference in the lives of women, girls, and families striving to overcome challenges and build brighter futures.
In-Person Location: 2621 Damien Ave., La Verne, CA 91750
What You’ll Do:
- Provide support and advice
- Help others establish goals
- Help others achieve their goals
- Provide adequate and constructive feedback
- Encourage and motivate others
- Help others set priorities
- Monitor progress and find solutions to setbacks
- The volunteer works primarily with low-income and homeless women/families
Time Commitment:
- Hours based on clients — minimum 5hrs a week
- Attend virtual weekly meetings: All Staff Meeting: Tuesdays 9:00 AM - 10:00 AM PST & Programs Department Meeting: Tuesdays 10:30 AM - 2:30 PM PST (with 1 hour lunch between 12 PM - 1 PM PST)
- Commit for 1-year minimum
What We’re Looking For:
- Experience as a life coach or in counseling preferred
- Possess strong personal integrity and ethical principles
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent organization, problem-solving and multi-tasking skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively with others
- Ability to demonstrate empathy and patience
- Be a positive role model
- Excellent listener
- Ability to motivate, encourage, and guide others
- Ability to pass the mandated reporter exam
- Volunteers must have the appropriate technology, internet connection, and ability to function in a virtual capacity via Microsoft Teams
