Primary Job Function:
Assist with providing All TSAC Associates, Department Managers, Facilitators and Team Leaders with training programs and services for Associates. Assist with providing TSAC Associates with safety and training products, services and information. Assist with providing management with information and documentation about the development, implementation and evaluation of safety and training programs. Accomplish any and all work assignments as directed by management.
Key Areas of Responsibility:
- Be proficient with Safety and Training Programs for TSAC Associates to include: Management, Facilitators and Team Leaders
- Assist with all aspects of Safety including Ergonomics, Environmental and MIOSHA
- Work with Engineering on safety issues of new launches
- Assist with evaluating PPE throughout TSAC for effectiveness and compliance regarding new and changing MIOSHA regulations
- Assist Environmental Management Representative (EMR) and Manager for ISO 14001(2015) and OHSAS 45001 Safety/Environmental programs
- Remain accessible to Associates the majority of the time and in consultation with EH&S Facilitator, respond to Associates concerns, complaints, problems, suggestions, etc. and provide information, answers, and assistance in a reasonable time period
- Selection, training and development of Associates/team through the use of Skill Assessment and coordination of training resources
- Assist with the planning of short-term activities to meet departmental goals and objectives
- Assist with managing an efficient utilization of manpower, equipment and materials to promote/improve safety, housekeeping
- In consultation with Department goals, assist with the development/initiation of timely, accurate, and cost-effective improvement plans utilizing Associate resources
- Assist with the Plan and execute company initiatives (TPM, suggestion program, etc.)
- Available on off shifts and or weekends for training and emergency calls
- Ensure that company facilities and practices follow compliance with government safety regulations
- Conduct investigations and report findings to management
- Follow confidentiality in all matters
Minimum Requirements:
- High School Diploma or GED required
- 7 - 10 years’ experience in manufacturing
- General knowledge of 45001/14001 standards
- Must have well-developed organizational, communication and public speaking skills
- Proficient with Microsoft office, Excel, Word and PowerPoint
- Working knowledge of policies and procedures to establish and promote maintenance of safety, health, ergonomics and environmental working conditions
- Extensive knowledge of OSHA/MIOSHA, DEQ, DOT, ergonomics and environmental regulations required
- Storm water operator certified, preferred
- MIOSHA Level 1 and 2 preferred
- First aid and CPR certified
