FULL TIME Dish Washer/Food Prep Assistant WANTED!
Thaicoon Restaurant is a restaurant located in North Palm Beach serving Thai food in the area since 1985. We are looking for a Dish Washer/Food Prep Assistant to join our team.
The work hours for this position are TUE through FRI 10:30AM - 2:30PM and 4:30PM - 9:00PM. Saturday is from 4:00PM - 9:00PM. Pay rate is $13.00 - $16.50 per hour depending on the quality of your performance. Thaicoon Restaurant is closed on SUNDAYS and MONDAYS.
Our kitchen is air-conditioned.
Responsibilities
- Wash and sanitize dishes, glassware, utensils, pots, and pans using industrial dishwashing equipment.
- Maintain cleanliness of the dishwashing area and kitchen by sweeping, mopping, and taking out the trash as needed.
- Assist with food preparation tasks as required, including basic culinary duties and food service support.
- Ensure all kitchen equipment is cleaned and stored properly after use.
- Follow health and safety regulations to maintain a safe working environment.
Clean all kitchen surfaces sweep and mop kitchen floor, put away dishes, pots, pans, organize food, clean and stock walk-in cooler. Ensure all dishes are adequately sanitized by maintaining required water temperature and chemical levels. Wash and dry dishes using dishwasher, as well as clean stainless steel surfaces. Assist cook with food preparation including but not limited to organizing refrigerator and freezer, chopping vegetables, washing fruit, defrosting meat, prepping sauces and marinades. Prepare full dishes such as salads per direction of supervisor.
Previous restaurant experience a plus. Ability to stand for long periods of time, the ability to bend, stoop, lift, rotate, reach, and the ability to lift 50 pounds minimum.
Requirements
-You must speak English.
-Must be at least 18 years old.
- Previous experience in a food service or restaurant environment is preferred but not mandatory.
- Strong attention to detail with a commitment to cleanliness and sanitation standards.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a positive attitude.
- Basic knowledge of culinary practices and food preparation techniques is a plus.
- Must have the ability to stand for long periods of time, the ability to bend, stoop, lift, rotate, reach, and the ability to lift heavy items as needed.

Pay: $13.00 - $16.50 per hour
