Position Summary
Thales is looking for a Finance Plant Controller for SLC, partnering with the Functional Leadership team to deliver world class end to end finance support, from the daily operations to delivery of all strategic initiatives.
In this position, you should be fully versed in supply chain, production control and inventory control processes.

Finance Plant Controller

Position Summary
Thales is looking for a Finance Plant Controller for SLC, partnering with the Functional Leadership team to deliver world class end to end finance support, from the daily operations to delivery of all strategic initiatives.
In this position, you should be fully versed in supply chain, production control and inventory control processes.
Key Areas of Responsibility
- Review and maintain standard costs; analyze variances to determine validity of costs. Manage the Operations monthly close process, including Cost Accounting, Variance analysis, inventory, COGS, reconciliations and forecasting.
- Lead the performance review cycle, establishing and analyzing key performance metrics related to materials and inventory management, rates and working capital requirements. Perform financial assessments to ensure complete and accurate. accounting for inventories, reserves, labor application, overhead and variances.
- Develop annual overhead rates and analyze over/under absorption. Identify and highlight financial risks and opportunities in the Operations and rate variances across the enterprise functional areas.
- Manage the physical verification of the inventories whether through cycle counting or an annual physical. Align supply chain and production processes with Thales processes.
- Partner with the Functional Enterprise Leadership team to establish, measure and deliver all financial, operational and transformation goals. Assist with inventory management (excess, obsolete).
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting/Finance. 8 years of relevant work experience; ideally with a mix of government contracting, public accounting and industry (preferably in a manufacturing environment).
- Strong background in Cost Accounting required. Above average written and verbal communication skills required.
- The ideal candidate will be highly experienced with government audit (DCAA/DCMA) and FAR/CAS. Self-starter, able to work independently or as part of a team; good presentation skills. Comfortable with MS Office and various ERP systems.
- Must be a US Person as defined in applicable law.
- Must have U.S. or Dual Citizenship and be able to obtain post-hire clearance from the Committee on Foreign Investments in the U.S. (CFIUS) and Department of Justice.
- Must be a U.S. Person as defined in applicable law, or otherwise authorized or eligible for authorization, to access to hardware, software, technology or technical data controlled under the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and/or the Export Administration Regulations (EAR).
