Thales is looking for a Pre-Sales Manager who will lead a dynamic pre-sales team dedicated to driving service delivery excellence through strategic collaboration and comprehensive customer engagement. This role involves working closely with the sales team during opportunity assessment and proposal phases to define scope, deployment approaches, timelines, and deliverables.

Key Areas of Responsibility
The Pre-Sales Manager will be responsible for gathering and assessing customer requirements, positioning the appropriate service offerings, and translating these into technical solution architecture and design tailored to clients' use cases. In addition, the Pre-Sales Manager will oversee the creation of Statements of Work (SOWs), ensuring all necessary documentation is collected for seamless conversion into delivery engagements.
Special Position Requirements
Travel: Ability to travel up to 20% of the time (international and domestic).
Customer Location Based or Site Visits: Travel to customer site required on a non-regular basis.
Schedule: Off-business hours work might be required. Limited occurrence.
Pay Transparency
The anticipated TTC range for this role is $163,542 - $272,570 USD Annual. - Support sales opportunities by collaborating with sales teams, conducting discovery meetings, and defining service scope to align with customer needs.
- Develop solution designs by translating customer requirements into feasible offerings, scoping project boundaries, and validating technical feasibility with the delivery team.
- Manage stakeholder communication by acting as a liaison between sales, service delivery, and customers, ensuring smooth transitions and clear expectations.
- Lead and mentor the pre-sales team, providing coaching, training, and performance management to enhance technical and customer engagement skills.
- Ensure governance and risk management by defining clear SOWs, mitigating potential risks, and ensuring compliance with legal and financial policies.
- Drive process improvement by refining pre-sales methodologies, conducting post-mortem reviews, and optimizing sales collaboration practices.
- Analyze customer and market insights to enhance service offerings, stay updated on industry trends, and provide strategic input for portfolio development.
- Monitor and report on performance metrics, including pipeline coverage, win rates, and resource utilization, ensuring accurate data in Salesforce.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, IT, Engineering, or a related field
- At least 8 years in professional services, pre-sales, consulting, or solution architecture.
- At least 5 years in leadership, managing pre-sales or services teams as a leader of people (hiring, performance reviews, etc).
- Prior experience in solution design, service delivery, and sales enablement.
- Demonstrated experience with Salesforce (or similar CRM) for pipeline and opportunity management.
- Proven ability to develop SOWs, proposals, and RFP responses.
- Industry expertise in IT solutions, cybersecurity, cloud, SaaS, or enterprise technology.
