Position Summary
Thales is looking for a Supply Chain Manager whose role is to lead all Industrial Supply Chain and Manufacturing activities for NAS US organization such as the preparation, execution and monitoring of the procurement, the production and repair activities of products and materials as well as the development of the appropriate framework in terms of resources, skills, processes and tools; all ensuring a dynamic continuous improvement feedback to the entire NAS industrial organization. Thales implements complex solutions for its customers utilizing complex products mix. Thales Airspace Mobility Solutions (AMS), Navigation And non-radar Surveillance (NAS US) organization designs, develops and produces ground-based navigational aid products for aircraft guidance during take-off, en-route, approach, and landing phases of flight. Thales NAS is a global leader and a trusted partner for aviation industry. US Industrial organization is, in fact, part of the global NAS Industrial organization and is focused on creating value for the Customer through the execution of efficient and reliable industrial activities for the local business ecosystem.

Key Areas of Responsibility
- Leads NAS US Supply Chain for Industry and manages the day-to-day activities for the local organization, reporting to NAS US Industry Director with whom works in harmony to deliver the vision, mission and strategy, with focus on the specific needs of the Customers.
- Coordinates all the phases of planning, sourcing, production, integration & testing cycle, presentation to Customers at Factory Acceptance Tests and final delivery to projects for the relevant NAS products.
- Assures the performance of the unit via the correct and timely execution of industrial work packages with particular focus and attention to quality, HSE, timescale, profitability/cost and resources for ensuring successful achievement of the project objectives and Customer satisfaction.
- Leads local S&OP process in harmony with overall NAS main procedure, and contributes to cross-functional projects within the international organization of the domain. Ensure that accurate, consistent data flows throughout the whole S&OP cycle in a timely manner coordinating issue resolution within the S&OP process as well.
- Develops sourcing strategies and manages the sourcing process in coordination with procurement, to fulfil current business demand and long term forecast. Leads supply chain communication with international partners and suppliers; manages material procurement in the ERP for US plant, the local manufacturing and supply planning team as well as industrial procurement resources.
- Balances supply and production capacity to deliver products as per Customer commitment at the right cost. Leads the appointed team on all relevant industrial matters, specifically overseeing the local Industrial team and a single supply chain organization based in two separated locations. Operate with autonomy and ensures day to day delivery. The role includes the elaboration, the management and follow-up of procurement and production plans in synchronization with demand features. It is included the elaboration and monitoring of KPIs on material availability, stock levels, delivery times and timely delivery of the products within the local supply chain.
- Bachelors’ degree in engineering, science or a relevant discipline with a minimum of 8 years of relevant work experience or a Master’s degree in engineering, science or a relevant discipline with a minimum of 6 years of relevant work experience in a similar role within an industrial manufacturing environment, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Experience utilizing ERP systems, SAP ECC is preferred tool for MRP/MPS/Forecast management for day to day execution.
- Possesses team management skills with the capability to create inter-functional cooperation and synergy. Result oriented individual with high degree of accountability and ability to take ownership of the organizational performance.
- Possesses excellent leadership skills with ability to drive growth, continuous improvement and collaborative working in a global environment. Excellent interpersonal communication skills. Experience interacting with the senior management. Openness to challenges with a solution focused, agile and proactive approach.
- Capability to perform under pressure in a dynamic environment with a high degree of initiative and motivation. A self-starter, team player and moderator with acute sense of rigor.
- Must be a US Person as defined in applicable law.
- Requires rotation between all shifts as well as weekend and holiday work
- Schedule: Please indicate the core work hours required for this position, e.g. First Shift, 7AM-3PM Monday through Friday; Core Business Hours Monday-Friday, etc. 9/80 or 5/40
- Travel: Domestic and international travel is required; approximately 20% of the time.
