JOB SUMMARY :
This is an Assistant Director exempt position responsible for team driven, daily management, and supervision of program services for Women, Infants and Children (WIC) serving New London County. Lead the WIC staff to provide excellent customer service with a diverse population. Ensure that daily operations at site(s) are implemented in compliance with all federal and state regulations and that all TVCCA Policies and Procedures are followed. Problem solves and makes decisions on site related issues. Develop the nutrition and breastfeeding promotion, evaluation, and support services component of the annual local agency plan. Conducts chart audits and data analysis of outcome objectives to ensure adherence to federal and state regulations. Support the WIC Director as the program Assistant Director. Provide direct client services, including nutrition education, breastfeeding promotion, and counseling. Travel to all TVCCA sites is required at least 8 hours each month, and when necessary to meet the needs of the program. This position requires working evenings, weekends, and a flexible work schedule to meet the needs of the clinic.
- At least 50% of time allocated to the provision of direct nutrition and breastfeeding promotion and support services and no more than 50% dedicated to administrative duties.

Required Skills
QUALIFICATIONS :
At least 3 years in a supervisory capacity.
State of Connecticut Certified Nutritionist / Dietitian or Registered Dietitian and experience with grants preferred.
Must possess decision making, creative problem solving, organizational, and leadership skills.
Strong customer service skills
Strong computer, math, and communication skills
Valid driver’s license, good driving record, and access to insured vehicle.
