Wage: $11-12/hour

Shift: Part time (15 hours per week). Mon-Sat. Includes some holidays.

Responsibilities:

• Interact with and engage visitors of all ages as they experience summer fun and epic adventure.
• Assist guests as they interact with talking trees, obstacle courses, fairies, pirates, play on playgrounds, battle friends with water balloons, and so much more
• Provide exceptional guest service by monitoring and assisting guests with confidence and joy.
• Run the cashier at both the gift shop and front desk at Ashton Gardens
• Facilitate interactive activities and experiences with curiosity.
• Collaborate with coworker.
• Help maintain an orderly, safe, clean, and compassionate environment for our team and guests.
• Maintain a comprehensive knowledge of Thanksgiving Point venues and activities and communicate these effectively to our guests.
• Model curiosity to create positive, meaningful experiences.
• Assist guests as they explore and enjoy incredible plants of all kinds in our exclusive 17 themed Gardens, including the Secret Garden, Italian Gardens, Light of the World Garden, Tree of Life Exhibit, and all other activities and play areas.
• Welcome and include all guests as they are.
• Adhere to all rules and regulations.
• Exemplify Thanksgiving Point’s mission, values, and policies with curiosity, compassion, and confidence.
• Other duties as assigned by manager/supervisor.

Requirements:

• Strong communication and great customer service, with collaborative approach to the workplace, and ability to give and receive constructive feedback.
• Enthusiastic and “can-do” approach to work.
• Comfortable working outdoors in various kinds of weather, and around large crowds.
• Ability to work patiently in high-activity, high-energy, noisy environments.
• Comfort with initiating conversations and exploring with our guests and enforcing safety procedures with compassion, curiosity, and confidence.
• Physical demands may include lifting 25 lbs., climbing stairs, bending, standing for extended periods of time, and manipulating small objects.
• Readily learn cash register, money handling, and facilitation best practices and skills.
• At least 16 years old.
• Must pass a background check.
