Events Setup Assistant Manager Job Description
Wage: $17.50/hour
Shift: Full-time 30-39 hours per week. Hours vary between day and night shifts - must have flexible a schedule. Monday through Saturday.

Summary: Do you enjoy working with your hands and getting paid to work out? In this position you will work under the direction of the Events Setup Manager to oversee all aspects of event and banquet set-up operations including set-up and tear down of property events, inventory of Thanksgiving Point assets, and upkeep of Thanksgiving Point facilities relating to events. Interacts with multiple departments on-property.
Responsibilities:
Assists the Manager to oversee set-up and tear down of all property events.
Ensure even spaces are set to standards at all times including patching, painting, basic janitorial needs, changing light bulbs, power washing, etc.
Assists the Manager with training of set-up staff.
Attends weekly BEO meetings when Manager is absent or unavailable.
Assists with various requests such as hanging signs, banners, moving equipment, etc.
Make linen orders when Manager is absent.
Assist with ordering tables, chairs, china/glass/silver and supplies.
Assist the Manager to oversee proper care, storage and inventory of all equipment and supplies ensuring that all are at appropriate levels for operation.
Ensure the cleanliness, maintenance, and organization of all catering facilities and storage areas—front and back of the house.
Works with Thanksgiving Point Facilities department ensuring that rooms and equipment are in proper working order at all times.
Interacts with Thanksgiving Point Public and Private Events, Kitchen Steward, Facilities and Site Décor establishing good working relationships with all.

Other duties as assigned by manager/supervisor.
Requirements:
Ability to frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds. Includes lifting crates, chafers, furniture, AV equipment, decorations, etc., as required for room setups and special events.
Great work ethic, working quickly and efficiently.
Willing to receive and provide constructive feedback.
Team player willing to help out where needed.
2 years applicable experience preferred.
Mentor and assist other team members.
Be at least 21 years old.
Must pass a background check and MVR
