Landscaper
Wage: $16 - $20/hour DOE
Shift: Seasonal – March-October with possibility of winter work. 30-39 hours per week. Mon-Fri with some Saturdays. In the spring, 7am – 3:30pm; in the fall, 6am – 2:30pm.

Summary: Maintain a beautiful, clean, and safe environment around each of Thanksgiving Point’s venues and public facilities in a sustainable and environmentally responsible way.
Responsibilities include:
- Maintaining beautiful lawns
- Repairing damage after events by cutting and laying sod, leveling areas, and seeding new and existing areas.
- Prepare flower beds for planting
- Amending soils, incorporating fertilizers, leveling and edging flower beds.
- Maintain paver pathways
- Relay pavers to fix unlevel or loose areas
- Install sleeves beneath pavers when necessary
- Install new paver areas.
- Landscape maintenance
- Planting and removing trees
- Trimming hedges
- Pruning trees and shrubs
- Event Installation
- Using boom lifts to install lights and other props
- Using forklifts to install tents and other large props
- Setting up power cords and water to various areas
- Snow removal
- Use snowplows, snow blowers, and shovels to remove snow.
- Spread ice melt when necessary
Essential Skills:
- Operate vehicles such as trucks and trailers, boom lifts, tractors, forklifts, and RTV’s.
- Operate equipment such as chainsaws, rototillers, sod cutters, hedge trimmers, etc.
- Able to communicate and work with other team members
- Ability to speak Spanish helpful, but not necessary
- Ability to perform essential duties which may include lifting up to 100 pounds, standing for long periods of time, bending and reaching, and working in extreme weather conditions
Position Details
- Monday – Friday 7:00am-3:30pm. Summer hours 6:00am-2:30am. Some weekend work could be required
- Valid Driver’s license is required (Utah License will be necessary to be covered by insurance).
- Must pass a background check.
