Guest Information Receptionist Job Description

Wage: $11.50-$12.50/hour

Shift: Part time. Mon-Fri, 9am-5pm & Saturday, 10am-4pm. Some holidays. Extended hours may be requested during peak seasons.

Summary: Come and join our amazing Guest Experiences Reception team at Thanksgiving Point! You will play an important role as the first point of contact for many of our guests who call or visit us to seek information about Thanksgiving Point and/or purchase tickets or memberships.

Responsibilities:

• Welcome, engage, help, and thank each of our guests as we work together to provide a world class guest experience

• Maintain and share your knowledge about Thanksgiving Point

• Assist guests over the phone, online chat, or in person with venue admissions and event reservations

• Assist with providing world class guest experience at Thanksgiving Point Signature Events throughout the year

Eduction, Skills, and Experience:

• A desire to interact with guests and team members in various situations, while maintaining a positive attitude

• Excellent verbal communication skills and a friendly personality

• Must complete “Guest Experience Training” and work to develop and demonstrate guest service skills and abilities

• Must have keyboard skills and a knowledge of standard office equipment

• Must have grammar and spelling competency with attention to detail and accuracy

• Must possess a working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel Spreadsheet, and can learn new skills and programs

• Must be able to handle stressful situations with dignity and a calm demeanor

• Previous Guest Service Experience is helpful, but not required

• Saturdays, Holidays and evenings may be required during peak seasons and for Signature Events

• Must pass a background check
