Gardens Maintenance Supervisor Job Description
Wage: $16-20/hour
Shift: Full time. Mon-Fri, some Saturdays and evening work required. Summer hours: 6:00am-2:30pm, Fall and winter hours: 7:00am-3:30pm.

Responsibilities:
Walk assigned area each workday monitoring for cleanliness, watering needs, and plant health issues.
Supervise 3-4 gardeners and ensure gardening tasks are performed correctly.
Strong understanding of plant culture and best practices for ornamental and native plant care.
Lead volunteer groups in performing gardening tasks.
Help garden designer with the layout and planting of annual garden designs.
Help Install holiday lights.
Be able to fix minor irrigation issues and operate sprinkler clocks.
Maintain tools and equipment.
Snow removal.

Other duties as assigned by manager/supervisor.
Requirements:
Previous experience in grounds maintenance.
Excellent leadership and communication skills.
Knowledge of all aspects of landscape maintenance.
Able to work in all types of weather.
Able to lift 50 lbs., must be able to manipulate small objects, bend, lift and climb.
Able to obtain a pesticide applicator license.
Must be professional and patient at all times.
Must pass a background check.
Salary : $16 - $20
