The Benchman manages raw lumber and initiates the beautifying process by converting raw lumber into tightly tolerance, aesthetically featured materials.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Specific functions as directed by the supervisor to facilitate training and effective output.
- Assist in training/ mentoring entry-level staff
- Reading and interpreting drawings and written instructions of specialty projects
- Maintain a safe and quality-based effort for any products that are processed.
- Sanding and woodworking
- Clean up work area each day in accordance with plant safety and house cleaning standards.
- Process work in a timely, quality-focused manner.
- Assembly of cabinet boxes, doors, and drawers
- Attention to detail
- Ability to work in a team environment
- Other duties as required.
Work Hours:
Employment Type: full-time
Production Shift: 6:00am-2:30pm, Mon-Fri
Overtime possible
Requirements
- Minimum of 5 years experience working in custom cabinetry and woodworking
- Drawing reading skills
- Self-motivated
- Dependable
- Work well with others
- Problem-solving
Physical Activities and Safety:
75% standing, 15% walking - Must be able to lift at least 50 lbs. Must strictly adhere to company safety policy, including wearing safety glasses and air filtration masks and suits where required.
